Official CENPA tours are occasionally organized for student groups, faculty/postdoc candidates, and other visitors. If you'd like to arrange such a tour, please contact the CENPA front office.
The standard tour stops include the gravity experiments in the Circle Room; the Accelerator and ion source; ADMX; and the He-6 experiment. During a tour, the accelerator must not be in use for reasons of radiation safety. Graduate students, postdocs and faculty members are usually recruited to help show off individual experiments. This is a good opportunity to show off your knowledge, practice outreach, and get to know other physicists from outside CENPA.
For visitors interested in touring labs in the physics building, it is often possible to arrange visits to the muon g-2 lab; the Project 8 / TRIMS / Majorana lab; and the Hg EDM lab.
